From June 3 to June 21, 2024, students and faculty from Diligentia College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong jointly participated in the French Language and Culture Programme in Lyon, France. After three weeks of intensive French language study, the students achieved excellent results in the assessments of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, successfully passed the course examination, and were awarded French language proficiency certificates by the Institut de Langue et de Culture Françaises (ILCF).

During this period, the students not only made significant improvements in their French language skills but also gained a profound understanding of France's unique customs and culture through a series of cultural experiences. They visited lavender farms, appreciating the natural beauty of Southern France, and experienced the traditional chocolate-making process in a chocolate-themed town. These rich and diverse activities allowed the students to deepen their understanding of French cultural essence while learning the language. The programme provided valuable opportunities for students to practice and consolidate their knowledge in a real linguistic environment, broadened their international horizons, and laid a solid foundation for their future international learning journey.
